Feng Wei: Reviews & Ratings
Great small restaurant near el Mercat, with diverse food options. We took the Vermicelli Fish Tofu, the Pimiento de Padron, Rice, and the Xiao Long Boa. Everything was pretty good, although the vermicelli was definitely superior. Will definitely be back !
More than my expectations. Taste and portion of the food is good, best with the chili sauce. Ordered fried duck meat vermicelli and seafood vermicelli soup. Comforting my stomach after all the breads and cold food in Europe.
Feng Wei is a hidden gem in Barcelona. You can ask them to cook any Chinese dishes you want using fresh ingredients from La Boqueria market. We ate here twice and both meals were incredible. The first day, the chef went with my dad to the market to pick out Turbot, which they steamed perfectly. They also made a xi gua tofu egg soup and bok choy that were comforting and homey. The next day, the chef prepared everything my dad requested, including razor clams, Spanish sea bass, crab, and monkfish liver. The meal started with a mustard green and spanish sea bass soup. The razor clams were tender, crunchy, and completely clean. The liver was stir fried with chinese pickled vegetables. The chef knows what he is doing as everything was perfectly cooked. Highly recommend for anyone who loves Chinese food and wants to try local ingredients in a homestyle way. Speaking Mandarin helps, since it can be tricky to explain your requests.
